Our client is a well-established international petrochemical trading firm with over a decade of experience in the industry.
Headquartered in Singapore with a strong presence across multiple regions, the company specializes in the marketing, logistics, and technical advisory of specialty chemical products. It serves as an exclusive distributor for multiple product lines of a major U.S.-based chemical corporation and is a trusted supplier to large petrochemical enterprises, including leading state-owned oil and chemical groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end international trade operations based on sales and procurement requirements
- Prepare and process import/export documentation (e.g. invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin)
- Coordinate with logistics providers, agents, and warehouses to ensure smooth shipment execution
- Monitor customer orders and shipment progress; proactively resolve operational issues
- Support trade finance processes, including handling and reviewing Letters of Credit (L/C)
- Verify logistics costs and maintain accurate inventory and operational records
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates on order and shipment status
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and overseas teams across regions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in trade operations, logistics, or order processing
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs clearance, and trade documentation
- Familiarity with Letters of Credit (L/C) is preferred
- Experience in the chemical trading industry is an advantage
Language Requirement (Important)
- Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required, as the role involves frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and reporting to the Shanghai team
- Proficiency in English is also required for internal and external coordination
Working Structure
- Based in Singapore office (Bugis)
- Will report directly to the Shanghai team with close communications
- Cross-border collaboration with regional stakeholders
- Candidates must be comfortable working alone as the only personnel in Singapore. Other colleagues will be in Shanghai.
Salary & Benefits
Salary from SGD 4,500 to SGD 6,000, commensurate with experience
13th month salary + performance-based bonus
